I thrive on art, nature, spirituality and ethnic-cultural diversity.

Wow can I just say this is one of the stupidest posts I’ve ever seen, and reeks of this whole “white people feeling guilty for being white” thing, which, by the way, is ridiculous.
Here’s a newsflash: what you consider “bomb ass spices” are COMPLETELY NORMAL TO US. You achieve absolutely nothing by exotifying us and putting us on a pedestal whilst simultaneously putting white people down for no reason other than the fact that they’re white.
White people have great food! What do you think they ate in Europe before Columbus discovered the Americas? And you know what? It’s fine to appreciate it, and doing so doesn’t make you racist!
You know what’s racist? Acting as if you’re the centre of the world, and that things that are completely normal to other cultures, like I dunno, fruit, are “exotic”. It’s ridiculously Western-centric.
You know what those “bomb ass spices” are called here? Food. No Japanese person is going parade around, talking about how exotic sushi is; no Korean person is going to talk about how exotic kimchi is. You know what’s considered more exotic here? Western food.
Stop demonising white people. Stop acting like PoC are special perfect angels who have never done any wrongs and created everything worthwhile in this world. I don’t know who originally posted this, but the blog from which I screenshotted it from was run by a white person, and I can imagine a lot of the 1500+ people who reblogged it were white, in an effort to look soooo progressive and not racist.
Don’t put us on a pedestal. Treat us like equals.
Love,
An Asian girl

this reminded me of some guy being completely blown away bc “monkeys and jungles and shit are “normal things” in Brasil whoa”
yeah bro we jump from one exotic tree to the next in our way to work and swim across the Amazon river to go to school.
